Year 3/4

In Year 3 and 4, children’s learning builds upon acquired knowledge and skills from Key Stage 1. Year 4 is at the heart of our Key Stage 2 phase. Pupils become increasingly independent and learn to take further ownership of their learning.

Homework

Homework is handed out on a Friday, to be returned on a Wednesday.  Please ensure your child practices their Spelling and Times Tables on a regular basis, as these will be tested on a Friday.

Music

Ukelele is every Monday with Mr Elliot until Christmas. Children who have their own instruments are welcome to bring them in.

Reading Books
It is important that children are read with regularly at home. We are still using home reading record books and would be grateful if you would regularly sign to show you have experienced your child reading. We are also monitoring reading through the Accelerated Reader Programme.
